Crop Mutations Guide

Below is a detailed list of crop mutations available in Grow A Garden as of July 2025. Each mutation comes with unique visual effects, Sheckles multipliers, and specific conditions for obtainment. Use this guide to strategize your farming and maximize your crop value through careful mutation management.

Calculate the value of your crops in Grow A Garden using the following formulas to determine the total price based on weight, base value, and mutation multipliers.

• Only one of Golden or Rainbow can be active on a crop at any given time.
• The Amber mutation progresses through three stages: Amber, Old Amber (after 24 hours), and Ancient Amber (after an additional 48 hours).
• Paradisal removes both Verdant and Sundried mutations.
• Cooked removes the Burnt mutation.
• Ceramic removes Clay. The secondary mutation used to trigger Ceramic (one of: Fried, Cooked, Molten, Sundried, Meteoric, or Plasma) remains — except for Burnt, which is removed.
• Frozen removes Wet (or Drenched) and Chilled.
• Clay replaces both Sandy and Wet, making them available for reapplication.
• If Clay is mutated into Ceramic, either Wet or Sandy can be reapplied — but not both. Reapplying Wet first is optimal, as it allows triggering Frozen. Since Frozen removes Wet, Sandy can then be reapplied.
• Tempestuous removes both Windstruck and Twisted.
• Note: "Replaces" means the mutation is removed but may be reapplied. "Removes" means the mutation is eliminated and cannot be reapplied unless re-triggered.
